Talisker Whisky

Talisker (from the Norse translation of 'Thalas Gair' or 'Sloping Rock') is the only single malt whisky made on the Isle of Skye.

At a distillery founded in 1830 by Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill at Carbost, only some three short miles down the road from the Hotel, this world-famous whisky has a character as unchanged as the Cuillin Hills in whose shadow it is made.

Talisker is a whisky that is uniquely made in exact replicas of old pot stills, thus by preserving a method of distillation found nowhere else.

The result is a full-bodied malt with a smooth beginning, a growing intensity and a long warming finish.

A robust malt to enjoy rather than sip cautiously.
